Several players were pulled early on August 11, one of whom was Jose Altuve. And speaking of another AL West club, Athletics first baseman Nick Kurtz may not come back for the club this season.
Athletics manager Mark Kotsay stated on August 11 that Nick Kurtz will be in a brace for three weeks after he received a PRP injection last week (h/t MLB.com).
It may very well mark the end of the season for Kurtz, since there won’t be much more time for him to ramp up. Should that be the case, he would end with 21 home runs on the season.
