One of, if not the biggest storyline throughout the 2022 MLB regular season was New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge's pursuit (and eventual passing) of Roger Maris for the franchise's single-season home run record. Through seven at-bats this postseason however, Judge is off to an ice-cold start.

Ironically, during the 1961 MLB playoffs -- right after Maris broke Babe Ruth's then-franchise mark of 60 home runs in a single season -- the two-time AL MVP had a knack for striking out as well.
After setting the American League single season home run record:

One of the many stunning statistics from Judge's likely 2022 AL MVP campaign was the fact that he didn't have a single four-strikeout performance all year long. In just his second playoff game this fall, he's officially wearing the "golden sombrero."
As noted, Josh Dubow of The Associated Press, Judge's "accomplishment" on Friday afternoon set some more Yankees history as well.
Aaron Judge is the 1st Yankees player ever to strike out 3+ times in the team's first 2 games in a postseason. Judge also has 4 of the 15 4-strikeout games ever by a Yankees player in postseason. No one else has more than 1
