The fourth edition of the Little League Classic will be held on Aug. 22, 2021 at Bowman Field. It's set to be televised by ESPN.
The Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals played in the first LLC in 2017 followed by the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets in 2018. In 2019, the Pirates faced the Chicago Cubs.
The 2020 classic between the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles was canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The decision to have the Angels and Indians square off in the 2020 edition of the Little League Classic probably wasn't a difficult one. Some of the league's biggest stars in Mike Trout, Anthony Rendon, Shohei Ohtani, Francisco Lindor, Carlos Carrasco and Jose Ramirez are among players from both teams who are set to compete in the game.
