Angels Sign Former Dodgers Reliever Adam Kolarek To One-Year Deal
USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Angels have made an addition to their bullpen, adding reliever Adam Kolarek to the team. It's a one-year deal for the left-hander and the team adds a veteran to the pen.

Kolarek spent last season with both the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets in limited time. He signed with the Atlanta Braves on a minor league deal as well, but elected free agency after the season ended.

He only played five games total between the two squads, and now heads to his fourth team in the last few years. The veteran didn't allow a run during the five games, seeing six innings of work. Kolarek struck out seven during the time he saw as well.

His best career seasons came with the Dodgers back in 2019 and 2020, when he posted two straight ERAs under one. He was a relied-upon member of the LA bullpen and helped them win the 2020 World Series.

Kolarek has a career ERA of 3.62 over his seven-year career. He brings experience to this Halos team and could see a big role this season.

The Angels needed a reliable lefty out of the bullpen for this season, and Kolarek could be a sneaky good signing if he can stay healthy. This is the first of many moves for the Halos this winter, and finally, we have some free-agent action!
