The Arizona Diamondbacks are in a bit of a situation right now as the injury bug continues to bite them this season. Star outfielder Corbin Carroll has been officially diagnosed with a fractured left wrist and is going to miss extended time as a result. This result comes after missing three consecutive games after being hit on the hand in Wednesday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Let’s take a look at what this means for the Diamondbacks and Carroll going forward.

Arizona Diamondbacks Lose Corbin Carroll

The Arizona Diamondbacks have some injury concerns on their roster and Corbin Carroll’s chip fracture in his left wrist is going to be difficult for the team to overcome. The team has been dealing with a lot of injuries as they already lost Corbin Burnes, Justin Martinez, and AJ Puk for the season while seeing Eugenio Suarez and Josh Naylor leave Monday’s game with injuries themselves. However, the D-Backs are looking to still be competitive as they are fourth in the NL West with a 40-38 record right now.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are going to be an interesting team to watch as they can have a lot of other teams calling if they declare to be sellers as a result of the injuries being too much for them. However, they still have some solid players and are just 2.5 games back of the final NL Wild Card spot at the time of this writing. It will be intriguing to see how the team plays going forward as the outfield trio of Lourdes Gurriel Jr, Alek Thomas, and Randal Grichuk may be the starting outfield going forward.
