With the trade deadline looming, the New York Yankees’ top prospects are heating up and, more importantly, upping their trade value. Center fielder Spencer Jones continues to rake at Triple-A, hitting .426 with 10 homers and 20 RBIs in just 16 games. He had back-to-back four-hit games this weekend, including a two-homer game on Sunday.
With teams asking about impact-ready talent, Jones headlines a group that could draw interest as the Yankees weigh deadline upgrades before July 31.
MINORS MATTERS

The red-hot RailRiders tied a franchise record with their 11th straight win Sunday, defeating Worcester 8–2. Carlos Carrasco (3–2, 3.88 ERA) allowed one run on three hits with seven strikeouts over seven innings.
“What a win right there to end the series coming back from the All-Star break,” manager Shelley Duncan said. “It all starts with Carlos Carrasco. He was absolutely dominant. A lot of fun to watch.”
Center fielder Spencer Jones logged his second straight four-hit game Sunday, including two home runs. He’s hitting .426 with 10 homers and 20 RBIs in just 16 Triple-A games.
Everson Pereira hit his 18th homer Sunday.

High-A Hudson Valley
Lefty Griffin Herring had a shaky outing in Saturday’s 9–3 loss to Jersey Shore: two runs, one hit, four walks, and six strikeouts in four innings. He threw 49 of 90 pitches for strikes and committed a balk. Still, he’s 3–2 with a 2.22 ERA in eight starts.
