Devastating floods have decimated communities around central Texas, with a confirmed death toll of 91 and five million Texans under a flash flood watch on Monday.
Kerrville, Texas, a town on the Guadalupe River around 200 miles from Houston, was hit the hardest, with rescue efforts ongoing and expected to last over a week.
It's hard to continue with everyday life with tragedies like this going on, but people and organizations around the country are rallying around the communities affected by the floods.
One of those organizations is the Houston Astros, who announced substantial financial commitments to relief efforts.

The Astros tweeted they would commit $1 million to recovery efforts in central Texas, an example of a story that is far bigger than baseball.
"It's important to the entire Astros organization to send immediate support to our fellow Texans throughout the Hill Country during this devastating time," said Astros owner and chairman Jim Crane.
The Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and the NFL also announced donations of $1.5 million to Kerr County and the Hill Country.
"Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastation and loss of life by the floods in Kerr County and Texas Hill Country, especially for the young girls and their families, as well as all of those lost and their loved ones," the Cowboys wrote on social media.
The stories coming out of the San Antonio area are heart-wrenching, and it is important to hear that the teams around the Texas area are doing their part to provide support to the many communities affected by such profound tragedy.
