Atlanta Braves Are Rebuilding Their Pitching Staff… AGAIN! Find Out Who’s In and Who’s Out!

The Atlanta Braves’ pitching situation feels like it’s officially off the rails. Instead of finding real answers, the team seems content to just keep spinning the same tired wheel — signing, cutting, and re-signing familiar names in an endless loop.

Sunday brought another head-scratching day: the Braves recalled RHP Davis Daniel to Atlanta and designated veteran RHP Jesse Chavez for assignment.

Chavez has been a fan favorite over the years, but at some point, the cycle gets exhausting. One fan on social media joked, “I feel like this is going to cause MLB to create a Jesse Chavez Rule: ‘You can only sign the same player to a minor-league deal twice in the same year.’”

Honestly, it’s hard to argue with that.

The Braves also claimed former Brave Ian Anderson off waivers from the Angels — another desperate attempt to patch together a broken pitching staff. Atlanta’s strategy seems to be “bring back anyone we can, even if moving on would make a lot more sense.”

Instead of looking for fresh arms or making bold moves, the Braves are stuck on the circle of life: get rid of a pitcher, then bring him back a few weeks later, and repeat the cycle as needed.

At this point, it’s not a matter of if Jesse Chavez signs another deal with the Braves — it’s when. Maybe it’s tomorrow. Maybe it’s next week. But if history tells us anything, Chavez isn’t done with Atlanta yet.

Neither, it seems, is Atlanta done recycling the same old answers.
