The starters were announced last night for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game. One surprising player named a starter was Atlanta Braves Right Fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. He did not debut until May 23, Atlanta’s 50th game of the regular season, as he recovered from an ACL injury. The only other player in league history to start the All-Star Game despite not debuting until his team’s 50th game was Joe DiMaggio in 1949.
Acuna Jr. has dazzled since his return from injury. He is hitting .346 with 9 home runs and 18 RBI this year. It will also be an exciting game for the star player. He will get to play in front of his home fans as the 2025 MLB All-Star Game will be contested at Truist Park. The home of the Atlanta Braves.

Acuna Jr. has been one of the best players in the league since debuting with the Atlanta Braves in 2018. He was named the Rookie of the Year that season. He is also a five-time MLB All-Star, three-time Silver Slugger, and the 2023 National League MVP.
Acuna Jr. will look to end the first half of the regular season on a high note. He will face the Los Angeles Angels tonight. One of the best players in the league has found his form this season. That is a scary thought for opposing pitchers.
