Baltimore Orioles Trevor Rogers had a great start this evening at home against the Texas Rangers. He tossed 8 scoreless innings and punched out 4. It was the longest outing of his MLB career. His performance helped the Orioles win 6-0. Monday was only his third start of the season. Rogers got a late start to the season following a right knee injury. The veteran starting pitcher is 1-0 this season with a 1.62 ERA. Will he be able to build upon this start the next time he toes the slab?

Rogers made his debut with the Miami Marlins in 2020. The best season of his career came in 2021 when he finished second in NL Rookie of the Year voting and made his lone all-star appearance. He spent parts of the first five seasons of his career in Miami. He was then dealt to the Baltimore Orioles before the 2024 MLB Trade Deadline. He has been with the ball club ever since.
Rogers does not have a next scheduled start. The Orioles have an opening in their starting rotation on June 29 at home against the Tampa Bay Rays. With his start tonight, the veteran lefty has seemingly cemented his spot in Baltimore’s starting rotation.
