The roster has been set for the Toronto Blue Jays’ 2026 Spring Breakout event. The roster consists of some of the top Blue Jays’ prospects; some are well known in the top 30 rankings, others who are on the come up, and a few are returning from injury.
The event features the future of MLB, showcasing each organization’s top prospects. Each club will be represented and will go head-to-head with each other in a four-day, 16-game head-to-head matchup. The Jays will be facing the Philadelphia Phillies’ farm system on March 21st.
The Blue Jays are going with a 19-man pitching staff, three catchers, 10 infielders, and eight outfielders. The roster is compiled with top draft picks, some Canadian content, and Major League representation.

We’re already familiar with the top pitcher on this roster, Trey Yesavage, who leads the pitching pack. Blue Jays fifth-ranked pitcher Ricky Tiedemann will complement Yesavage. He returns to the diamond after undergoing Tommy John surgery, sidelining him for some of 2024 and all of 2025. The southpaw is deemed good to go, despite some minor hiccups out of the gate this spring with his elbow.
The club has a few Canadian representatives, including Micah Bucknam, who was born in New Zealand but spent a good chunk of his childhood in B.C. Bucknam was drafted twice by Toronto, first in 2021 and again in 2025, where he became a Blue Jay. Tim Piasentin is the other Canadian prospect in the Spring Breakout lineup, with the infielder also drafted last summer. He was one of the country’s anticipated positional prospects.
Arjun Nimmala, the club’s #3-ranked prospect, will also be suiting up in the contest. He is one prospect to watch, as he’s also very projectable, showing a 60-rank in power, adding physical size this offseason. In 2025, Nimmala hit 13 home runs with 61 RBIs in high-A Vancouver.
This tournament will collectively shed some light and educate on the Blue Jays’ farm system. Toronto’s best of the best and possible future generation are all rostered for this event and will go to battle.
