After a four-game losing streak brought their overall record to 16-20, the Toronto Blue Jays pulled back to an even .500 with four straight wins. Toronto brings this winning streak into an American League East series with the Tampa Bay Rays that begins on Tuesday night.

After extending Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to a historic 14-year, $500 million contract, the Blue Jays hope to contend in the AL East. Entering Tuesday, they sit just three games back of the first place New York Yankees, and their homegrown superstar is finding his swing.

Over his last seven games, Guerrero is hitting .346 to bring his overall average to a solid .285 mark.

While Guerrero's power numbers are still down, most notably his career-low .411 slugging percentage, he remains a formidable middle of the order bat. On Tuesday, the Blue Jays made an exciting announcement on the Canadian-born first baseman.

"JUST ANNOUNCED," the team exclaimed. "Get your Vladimir Guerrero Jr. RED replica jersey on Canada Day!"

Fan giveaways, particularly jersey giveaways, always excite a fanbase. The Blue Jays executed this one perfectly, handing out a jersey of their Canadian-born star on Canada Day.

Currently in his seventh MLB season, all in Toronto, Guerrero has made four All-Star teams and won two Silver Slugger awards. His .860 career OPS ranks 13th among active hitters and eighth among active right-handed hitters.

If Guerrero can get back to his usual power numbers, the Blue Jays can make even more of a postseason push as they currently sit just a half-game back of a Wild Card spot.
