The Toronto Blue Jays are making a change in their rotation.

Ahead of Tuesday's game against the New York Mets , Blue Jays manager John Schneider announced that veteran pitcher Patrick Corbin will be moving to the bullpen, adding that Wednesday's starter has not been determined yet.

Toronto signed Corbin to a one-year, $1 million deal in the offseason. After getting off to a promising start this year, he has struggled throughout June. In five starts this month, the 36-year-old had logged an 0-3 record with an 8.69 ERA, while allowing four home runs in 19.2 innings pitched.

Through 15 starts this season, Corbin is 2-5 with a 5.09 ERA, 52 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.55 in 69 innings of work.

With the 14-year MLB veteran now in the bullpen for the time being, Schneider also revealed that Spencer Miles could be used as an option to start Thursday's game, depending on his usage in tonight's game.

Miles last pitched on Friday against the Texas Rangers, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings. The right-hander has appeared in 23 games this season for the Blue Jays and has also started in two games. In those 23 outings this year, Miles owns a 3-1 record with a 3.00 ERA, 50 punchouts and a 1.06 WHIP in 51 innings.

The Blue Jays snapped their six-game slide Monday night against the aforementioned Mets and will look to make it two in a row tonight with Kevin Gausman on the mound. They remain in third place in the AL East at 40-45 and are just 2.5 games out of the third and final Wild Card spot in the weak American League.
