MLB Pipeline has updated their Top 100 prospect rankings with the MLB Draft just weeks away, and the Blue Jays have two players in the mix.

Arjun Nimmala and Trey Yesavage find themselves in the top 100 once again, with Nimmala ranking at #50 while Yesavage slots in at #57. These are the highest rankings for the duo under MLB Pipeline, with Nimmala moving up eight spots from the most recent May update, while Yesavage moves from 71st. Entering the year, the Vancouver Canadians’ shortstop was listed at 87th overall, while the Jays’ first-round pick from last season ranked right behind him at #88.

Nimmala is making waves down in high-A, with the shortstop finding his power with the Canadians after tinkering with his approach at the plate last season between single-A and the FCL. Heading into tonight’s game, the Florida product owns a .244/.331/.436 slash line with a .768 OPS. The right-handed bat has collected 16 doubles, two triples, and 11 home runs so far this season with 32 RBIs as well. His 11 homers sit tied for third with RJ Schreck and Eddie Micheletti within the Jays’ minor league system, and he’s the youngest of the group at 19 years old.

Through 68 games and 314 plate appearences, Nimmala has amassed a 10.8% walk rate and a 20.1% strikeout rate with a .276 BABIP. His 107 wRC+ has him just over the league average, and he has 15 multi-hit games under his belt this year. A move to double-A may be in his future, but the Jays may be considerably more patient with his development given his age.

One of the quickest risers in the Jays system this year has been Yesavage, with the right-hander starting the year in single-A and now having four starts to his credit in New Hampshire. After dominating in Dunedin, Yesavage was moved to Vancouver in mid-May, and he made four starts in the Northwest League, allowing just three earned runs through 17 1/3 innings. His command was a bit wild, allowing 11 free passes, but the Jays were looking to push him at the next level in double-A.

Through four starts with his new squad, Yesavage has allowed nine earned runs through 14 innings, with the Portland Sea Dogs putting up four earned through 2 1/3 innings earlier this evening. The Jays’ righty will be repping the Blue Jays at the 2025 All-Star Futures Game later this month.
