Trey Yesavage is headed to the 2025 All-Star Futures Game.

The Toronto Blue Jays’ top pitching prospect will represent the franchise in Atlanta during this year’s prospect showcase game, which will be held at Truist Park on July 12. He was among the 50 players selected, 25 for each league.

Fellow right-hander Fernando Perez participated in last season’s events as the Blue Jays’ representative.

Attending this year’s Futures Game will cap off a sensational first-half performance from Yesavage, who has appeared at three different levels this season — single-A Dunedin, high-A Vancouver and double-A New Hampshire. Across 14 total starts, the 20th overall selection from the 2024 draft owns a 2.45 ERA and 2.57 FIP with 104 strikeouts and 27 walks, spanning 62.1 innings.

After dominating in seven single-A starts, pitching to a 2.43 ERA with a strikeout rate over 40 per cent, the 21-year-old was sent north of the border to high-A, where his dominance continued to the tune of a 1.56 ERA over four outings in Vancouver. Though he often battled his command, walking at least three in as many starts, the exciting young hurler still punched out nearly 50 per cent of his batters faced.

Since making the jump to double-A, Yesavage has received his first taste of adversity, surrendering five runs (all earned) on four hits and seven walks while striking out eight over his first two starts with New Hampshire. However, he’s coming off arguably his best outing yet from his most recent performance on June 25, where he tossed five scoreless innings of one-hit, one-walk ball and struck out eight.

Yesavage, the organization’s No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, will likely make at least two more starts with the Fisher Cats before heading to Atlanta to pitch for the AL Futures squad.

A pair of Canadians will also participate in next month’s showcase game: outfielder Owen Caissie (Chicago Cubs) and right-hander Jonah Tong (New York Mets), both representing the NL.
