Bob Costas seemed a bit upset about the Diamondbacks success during Game 2
Rob Schumacher/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

During Game 2 of an NLDS showdown between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks, baseball enthusiasts couldn’t help but notice a distinct lack of enthusiasm from the renowned announcer, Bob Costas, when it came to supporting the underdog Diamondbacks.

While this is not much of a surprise, given the “ratings nightmare” that a team such as the Diamondbacks may bring to the MLB if they do advance, there were some points throughout the game where Costas seemed outright disgusted that Arizona held a lead.

This includes the final out, where Kolten Wong flew out to centerfield to give the Diamondbacks a 2-0 series lead.

At least the reactions on social media were quite hilarious.

While Costas does have his share of iconic moments as he has called some classic postseason games, it’s safe to say that Game 2 will not be remembered as one of his finest performances.
