Justin Verlander is looking for a new home, and the Atlanta Braves appear willing to give him that.
The World Series champions are rumored to be interested in adding the two-time Cy Young Award winner to their pitching rotation.
Hearing that #Braves are among teams that have expressed interest in Justin Verlander. They have several factors that he’s reportedly seeking: contender, East Coast team, and train in Florida.

As intriguing of a storyline that is, however, it doesn't seem likely the Braves are looking to sign Verlander to a lengthy deal. He's getting up there in age and has only taken the mound once in the last two seasons because of an elbow injury that ultimately required Tommy John surgery.
Despite the long layoff, the Braves aren't the only team interested in signing the 38-year-old.
Yankees are among teams in on future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander, who’s expected to have a decision fairly soon, perhaps even this week. Jays and many others are interested as well. He has multiyear and 1-year options.

One interesting possibility heard: Could Justin Verlander return to the Tigers? He loved it there, and he obviously has a link to AJ Hinch, too. Detroit is still shopping.

Wherever Verlander ends up, he won't be the first big-name pitcher coming off Tommy John surgery to sign a deal with a new team this offseason. That honor goes to Noah Syndergaard, who inked a one-year, $21 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels this week after spending his entire career to date with the New York Mets.
