After dominating on the farm — posting a 0.52 ERA over 43 appearances between AA and AAA — Hayden Harris finally earned a call-up to the big leagues, and he held his own. In three outings, he allowed just one earned run on three hits and two walks across 2.2 innings.
Despite that performance, the Braves still opted to send him back to Gwinnett, which could be a telling sign of how they view him heading into 2026. Harris struck out an absurd 13.7 batters per nine innings in the minors this year but didn’t record a single strikeout during his brief MLB stint.
It’s a tiny sample size, but the fact that he hasn’t received more opportunities with the big-league club — despite being 26 years old and having nothing left to prove in the minors — is a bit puzzling. Hopefully, he gets another look in the Braves’ final series against the Pirates.
