Braves make pretty significant roster move ahead of series with Guardians

Ahead of their series with the Cleveland Guardians, the Braves made about the biggest roster move possible, activating Ronald Acuña Jr. from the 10-day IL. In a corresponding move, Sandy Leon has been sent back to Gwinnett.

Acuña gave Braves Country a heart attack when he left the game with what was ruled an Achilles injury. Even he said he was worried about what was to come, but thankfully, it was later revealed a calf strain after several tests.

A lot of Braves fans aren’t sold on the idea of Acuña returning at all this season, and their concerns are valid. He’s suffered multiple serious knee injuries, and calf injuries can oftentimes precede something much more serious. However, if doctors feels like there’s no chance of it leading to anything else, and he’s 100%, he’s going to play. That’s who Acuña is to his core, and that’s never changing, for better or worse.
