
The Milwaukee Brewers have finalized their Major League coaching staff for the 2026 season. Subtractions from a year ago include Rickie Weeks and Connor Dawson, wheres additions include Guillermo Martinez, Daniel Vogelbach, and Juan Sandoval.
Both Martinez and Vogelbach will be operating as assistant hitting coaches, reporting to Eric Theisen, who has been promoted to the lead. Sandoval, a former pitcher who overcame being blind in one eye after a tragic accident, will be an assistant pitching coach.
After last appearing in the big leagues for the Toronto Blue Jays in June of 2024, former Brewers fan favorite Daniel Vogelbach is returning to the organization, this time as a hitting coach. Vogelbach played for Milwaukee from 2020-2021 and overall spent nine years in the big leagues.
“He’s a guy that has worn a lot of hats in the big leagues. He’s been a great big league hitter, he’s coming off the bench and prepared, and he just knows how to get ready in all kinds of different roles.”

He now will look to find a spark in an organization where during his brief tenure he came through with some memorable moments, most notably a walk-off grand slam against the Cardinals in September of 2021.
