The Milwaukee Brewers enjoyed an excellent 2025 season as an organization. Although it ended on a disappointing note with a sweep at the hands of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS, the future remains bright after the club set a franchise record with 97 wins.
The Brewers still feature left-handed slugger Christian Yelich, who continues to be effective at the plate as he enters the later stages of his career. The 34-year-old veteran posted a .264 batting average, .343 on-base percentage and .795 OPS, while adding 29 home runs and 103 RBIs across 150 games. His performance earned him a 12th-place finish in National League MVP voting.
A key factor in Yelich’s resurgence was Milwaukee’s decision to limit his time in the outfield following season-ending back surgery in 2024. The adjustment kept him healthy throughout the year and allowed him to deliver at the plate, proving that the organization’s strategy paid off.
Yelich is in the midst of a busy offseason and already making plans for 2026, which will mark his ninth year in Milwaukee. On Thursday, he announced that his charity concert will return on May 21, with the goal of raising money for local organizations focused on community development, hunger relief, military families and ALS support.
“Christian Yelich’s Home Plate Charity Concert presented by @amfam is back! Thursday, May 21st, 2026. ✅ Live music. ✅ A brand new venue. ✅ One unforgettable night. ✅ All for a great cause. Tickets at YELI22CONCERT.COM,” Yelich wrote on Instagram.
The event has become a staple of Yelich’s off-field contributions, reflecting his commitment to giving back to the Milwaukee community while continuing to build his legacy both on and off the diamond.
Yelich’s tenure has reshaped the Brewers, and his impact continues to define the team’s future. He was traded to Milwaukee from the Miami Marlins ahead of the 2018 season and immediately transformed the franchise. He won the National League MVP in his first year with the Brewers, cementing himself as the face of the team.
Since his arrival in Milwaukee, he has added three All-Star selections and two Silver Slugger awards, consistently serving as the focal point of the lineup.
In 2020, Yelich signed a massive nine-year, $215 million extension, making him the highest-paid player the Brewers have ever had.
With another shot coming in 2026, Yelich will look to add the one achievement that has eluded him and deliver the Brewers their first World Series crown.
