The Milwaukee Brewers placed All-Star rookie right-hander Jacob Misiorowski on the 15-day injured list with a left tibia contusion prior to his scheduled start against the host Washington Nationals on Sunday.

The move is retroactive to Thursday for Misiorowski (4-1, 2.70 ERA), who was hit in the shin by a liner from Seiya Suzuki of the Chicago Cubs during the first inning on Monday. Misiorowski added to his issues by tweaking his knee while attempting to field a dribbler in front of the mound. The end result was a wild toss to first base, which allowed two runners to score.

Misiorowski, 23, pitched three more innings before exiting the contest.

In a corresponding move, the Brewers recalled right-hander Logan Henderson (3-0, 1.71) from Triple-A Nashville to start Sunday's game versus the Nationals.

Henderson, 23, will make his fifth career start and first against Washington.
