The Milwaukee Brewers called up outfield prospect Luis Lara from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

Lara, 21, signed a seven-year, $31 million contract extension with the Brewers last month. The Venezuelan is ranked by MLB Pipeline as Milwaukee's No. 4 prospect and MLB's No. 67 overall.

Lara will wear the No. 18 jersey on Tuesday as the Brewers face the host St. Louis Cardinals in a doubleheader.

He is batting .321 with a .902 OPS, nine homers, 42 RBIs and 24 stolen bases in 78 games with the Sounds.

In a corresponding move, Milwaukee optioned fellow outfielder Blake Perkins to Nashville. The team also designated left-hander Robert Gasser as the 27th man for the doubleheader on Tuesday.

Perkins, 29, is batting .157 with one homer and 11 RBIs in 53 games this season with the Brewers.
