Despite persistent trade rumors this summer, Byron Buxton has firmly stated his allegiance to the Minnesota Twins. Buxton made it clear he won't be leaving anytime soon.

On the Dugout Discussions podcast with Chris Rose, Buxton spoke from the heart:

"For me, just letting, I guess, the world know. This is where I want to be, this is where my family wants to be. This is home. There's nowhere else that I could put my heart and [my] family could in put in their hearts as home. The loyalty not just the organization and front office shows is incredible."

Buxton's remarks came shortly after the All-Star break, where he affirmed that he has no intent of waiving his full no-trade clause.

This commitment is made even more meaningful by the performance he's put up in 2025. Through July 28, Buxton has hit .282 with 23 home runs, 59 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases across 85 games.

Buxton has remained relatively healthy this season, only missing time due to a brief concussion stint in May. His durability has allowed him to deliver one of his best seasons in recent memory. Earlier reports have noted him as one of the top center fielders in the American League this, driven by his all-around contributions.

When asked about his future, Buxton added:

"They had my back and support throughout the years of me not being on the field. It's giving back to Minnesota and the fans to have these healthy years and couple of months I've had to hopefully continue."

Buxton's strong performance at the plate in the field strengthens his position as an emotionl anchor in the Twins organization. With the trade deadline approaching, his delcaration marks a moment of clairty and relief for Twins fans.
