Cardinals OF responds to shade from Keith Olbermann

St Louis Cardinals outfielder Harrison Bader responded to some shade from media personality Keith Olbermann on Friday.

Olbermann, who’s back as a host for ESPN, said while watching the Cardinals-Cubs game that nothing he saw suggested Bader was a major leaguer.

So far nothing in this Cubs-Cards game suggests Harrison Bader is a major leaguer, never mind a superior outfielder or heady player

Bader was picked off first base by Kyle Hendricks in the top of the fifth with his team down 3-0, which may have prompted the tweet.

Bader saw the tweet and decided to respond, saying he’s not concerning himself with criticism from Olbermann.

Bader, 24, is in his first full season in the league. He’s batting .266 with 20 doubles, 12 home runs and has a .764 OPS. He’s also rated highly in defensive metrics and has a 3.9 WAR according to ESPN.

He’d be best off using the criticism from Olbermann as motivational fuel, just like another outfielder did.
