Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers Make Baseball History on Saturday
USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago White Sox beat the Detroit Tigers on Saturday in one of the weirder games you'll ever see.

The White Sox won, 2-1, on a walk-off wild pitch from Jose Cisnero that scored Yoan Moncada in the bottom of the 10th inning.

But it wasn't just that run -- all three runs scored in the game scored via a wild pitch, which made for some interesting baseball history.

Per ESPN Stats & Info:

The Tigers-White Sox game featured a combined 3 runs, all the result of a wild pitch.

Per @EliasSports, this was the first MLB game in the live-ball era (since 1920) in which at least 3 runs were scored, and all were either on a wild pitch or passed ball.

The Sox walk-off featured one of the more bizarre wild pitches you'll ever see.

With the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning and Tim Anderson at the plate, Cisnero threw a fastball up and in that got past catcher Eric Haase. It hit umpire Corey Blaser squarely in the mask, knocking him over.

The ball ricocheted away from Haase and allowed Yoan Moncada to score the game winning run. Haase's first reaction was to tend to Blaser.

He was able to walk off the field under his own power with the help of the White Sox training staff.

The win moved the White Sox to 25-35 on the season. They have won two games in a row and are now seven games back in the American League Central.

The loss dropped the Tigers to 26-30. They are now four games out.
