Cincinnati Reds outfielder Will Benson had himself quite the week last week, including hitting five home runs in his last four games.
On Monday, it was announced that Benson has been named National League Player of the Week.
The 26-year-old hit .526 with an OPS of 1.959. He had 10 hits, five of which were home runs to go along with 10 RBIs.
“I’m definitely getting results at the moment, which I’m grateful for,” Benson told MLB.com's Mark Sheldon on Sunday. “My focus is really on showing up and being consistent with what I’m trying to do.
