Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jake Fraley has been on the injured list since May 10 with left calf tenderness. On Saturday, the Reds announced that they sent Fraley to Triple-A Louisville on a rehab assignment.
The 29-year-old is hitting .205 with a .678 OPS 9n 28 games this season. He has six extra-base hits and three stolen bases.
The Reds are currently carrying three catchers. It wouldn't be surprising for Fraley to take Austin Wynns's spot on the roster when he's healthy and ready to return.
