Cubs Hints: Did Cubs Disclose Their Plan for Moises Ballesteros in 2025?

This one is a nod to the Chicago Cubs social media team, providing fun and engaging content for fans on YouTube. Among the content on the team's official YouTube channel are small, interview-style specials with top prospects in the system. The team has done it with prospects like James Triantos, Owen Caissie, Matt Shaw, and Cade Horton. There are plenty more than that on their playlist

In the latest rendition of the mini-series, the Cubs featured No. 4 prospect 1B/C Moises Ballesteros. The 2020-21 international class member has a bat that profiles him as a .280+ batting average player with pop. 19 home runs, 78 RBIs, 24 doubles, and a .289/.354/.471 slash line were all impressive stats for a 21-year-old split between Double-A and Triple-A.

Those numbers are impressive, and Ballesteros played a significant number of games at Triple-A (68), but when does the catcher-first-baseman make his MLB debut?

In "Cubs Prospect Moises Ballesteros Is Motivated by Pride Passion and Pursuing His Dreams | On Deck," the Cubs may have given some insight into a potential plan with Ballesteros in 2025. The Cubs green-lighted the project. Spoiler Alert: Could the act of allowing the social team to include "He's projected to make his MLB debut in 2025" at the end of the video be a hint from the organization?

The other prospect that has been featured in the Cubs' Season 3 of the series already is Matt Shaw, another prospect with expectations. He will potentially fill the third base position next season in the majors. With Ballesteros being the second of three features, is he destined to impact this ballclub in 2025?

Notably, the Cubs have prioritized highlighting their top prospects as they rise through the system. Other teams will surely focus their attention on a team's "future possibilities," but the Cubs take it to a player-by-player level. Is this the Jed Hoyer touch on the organization's outgoing message via YouTube? Regardless, these videos are awesome and worth watching for those interested in learning more about these guys.

Perhaps this is an overthought approach to a potential underlying meaning of the Cubs' content. However, it surely makes for an intriguing discussion on the plans for this roster in 2025. Kyle Tucker's addition has ignited the fanbase and city as spring approaches. Will any of the team's prospects not being dealt with this winter make an impact? How many more trades will the Cubs make as they attempt to shuffle the roster? All these questions will not be answered until next year, but they are fun scenarios to ponder as winter officially arrives.
