The Chicago Cubs franchise has no shortage of legends ranging from Ernie Banks to Andre Dawson and Ryne Sandberg but without a doubt one of the team's most decorated franchise icons is Sammy Sosa.

On Tuesday, for the first time in over 20 years, Sosa made his return to the Cubs dugout to help the young players with some hitting adjustments. Sosa is quite the controversial player due to his denial of PED use for a long portion of his career, but he finally apologized to the Cubs organization for his mistakes, and they welcomed him back with seemingly open arms.

Sosa was seen advising multiple young players on the Cubs roster and dishing out high-fives all day. Surely, the Cubs youngsters will listen with open ears as Sosa, nicknamed "Slammin Sammy", as he hit 609 career home runs. 545 of those were with the Cubs, and to no surprise, he is the franchise leader in that category.

In that emotional interview with Taylor McGregor, here is what Sosa had to say about some of the tips he gave out:

"Just a couple of tips. Make sure that they keep their head right there. Some of them just fly open too quickly," Sosa said. "I try to pretty much speak to them mentally. When you do that mentally, I can help them."

It will certainly be a story to follow how much Sosa is around the team come the 2025 MLB season as the Cubs have playoff expectations that "Slammin Sammy" is used to.
