Cubs, Reds Field Of Dreams Game Unis Unveiled

On a sleepy Saturday night in August, many Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds fans have their eye on the “Field of Dreams” game in Dyersville, Iowa on August 11. That said, with the second annual iteration of the event just days away, the new uniforms have been released.

There was a report about a potential leak over the weekend. In fact, they were spot on. You know what else is spot on? These uniforms. They’re fantastic.

The Cubs are wearing their hat from 1914 while their jersey is based off the 1927 jerseys. In addition, it’s very interesting that neither team is scheduled to wear a “road grey” uniform. Perhaps the MLB decided the “off white” color of the Cubs’ uniforms was enough to differentiate.

The cream color jerseys with the blue cap are a sweet look for the Cubs. In addition, the all white pinstripes on the hat and jersey for the Reds are a great combo. Again, these jersey/hat combos are electric.

The Field of Dreams Game

The Field of Dreams game will take place on Thursday, August 11. First pitch is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. CDT in Dyersville. Last season’s epic walk-off capped off an incredible first edition of the event. Now, the Cubs and Reds are up to make the game memorable, even though both teams are far from competing like last season’s White Sox and Yankees. Nonetheless, the event will be another incredible spectacle for baseball fans everywhere.
