USA TODAY Sports

Just one day after announcing his retirement from Major League Baseball, Dexter Fowler has joined the Marquee Sports Network as a studio analyst.

Fowler will be contributing primarily to pregame and postgame coverage for the Chicago Cubs this season.

Fowler, who helped the Cubs win the World Series in 2016, hit .276 that season and was selected to the National League All-Star team. He helped the Cubs win their first World Series in 108 years and even led off Game 7 with a home run.

Fowler played for the Colorado Rockies, Houston Astros, Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Angels over 14 seasons.
