
Today is an off day for the Detroit Tigers as they are heading out to Sacramento, CA to start a three-game series against the Athletics. The Tigers will be on the road for the next nine games as they face the A’s, Mariners, and Giants. Those games will include their top prospect and the 13th overall prospect in baseball, outfielder Max Clark. Clark, in 90 games this season at Triple-A Toledo, is hitting .276 with a .802 OPS. He has 20 doubles, two triples, 11 home runs, 42 RBI, and 65 runs scored.

The Tigers drafted Clark third overall in the 2023 MLB Draft. This season is his fourth season in the Tigers system. In his first season, he appeared in 23 games between rookie ball and Single-A Lakeland. He hit .224 with a .760 OPS. He had five doubles, a triple, two home runs, 19 RBI, and 18 runs scored. In his second season, he played at Single-A and High-A West Michigan. In 107 games, he hit .279 with a .794 OPS. He had 21 doubles, six triples, nine home runs, 75 RBI, and 75 runs scored.
Last season, in 111 games, he hit .272 with a .835 OPS. He had 17 doubles, five triples, 14 home runs, 67 RBI, and 85 runs scored. Clark has appeared in two Futures Games. In the first one, he went 1-4 with a strikeout, and in the second he went 1-1 with a walk. Now it’s to the show.
