The Snakes will look to build off of a massive win as Chase Field saw a walloping after the Arizona Diamondbacks took care of the Colorado Rockies by a score of 8-0 on Friday night.
Zac Gallen will be making the start for the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight. In Gallen’s last start against the Dodgers, he gave up four earned runs on 10 hits. Gallen’s 3-5 record and 4.59 ERA on the season might see an uptick against the Rockies. In a career year for the fan favorite, Gallen will look to take a deep breath and get back on track for the Snakes against Colorado.
Arizona should be able to replicate their Friday night performance as Germán Márquez takes the mound for the Rockies. Márquez has a lowly 1-6 record and an 8.27 ERA on the 2025 season. His last outing against the San Diego Padres, Márquez pitched seven innings and only gave up one earned run on three hits.
Nothing comes easy in baseball, especially when you’re in the toughest division in the league. Though when you come across a team that is hurting like the Colorado Rockies are, there is no time for messing around. Arizona needs to put the pedal to medal and make sure that they sweep a team like this, especially at home.
It’s been a team effort for this D-Backs ball club at the plate. If hitters like Josh Naylor, Randal Grichuk, and Gabriel Moreno can be a helping hand to Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte.. this Arizona club could be ready to strike at any time. The Diamondbacks look to take the series over the Rockies on Saturday, with first pitch at Chase Field at 5:10 p.m. P.T.
