First baseman Freddie Freeman is in his 16th MLB season and fourth as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The 35-year-old superstar made his big-league debut with the Atlanta Braves in 2010 and quickly established himself as an offensive force, finishing second in National League Rookie of the Year voting during his first full season.
Over 12 seasons in Atlanta, Freeman earned five All-Star selections and reached his peak in 2020, capturing National League MVP honors. He then helped the Braves claim their first World Series championship in more than two decades in 2021.
After a contract negotiation breakdown following the 2021 season, Freeman departed Atlanta and signed a six-year, $162 million deal with the Dodgers. He continued his postseason excellence in Los Angeles, winning his second championship in 2024 after a dominant World Series performance.
Freeman has sustained his outstanding offensive production in 2025, earning a fourth consecutive All-Star Game selection as a member of the Dodgers.
During Sunday’s series finale against the Milwaukee Brewers, Freeman was struck on the left wrist by a fastball and immediately left for the dugout. Moments later, Los Angeles announced on X, “Freddie Freeman left the game with a left wrist contusion.”

An extended absence would represent a worst-case scenario for a Dodgers lineup already reeling from Max Muncy’s injury earlier in July.
Over 86 games this season, Freeman has compiled a .294 batting average, an .839 OPS, ten home runs and 49 RBIs—continuing to anchor the middle of L.A.’s order.
