Dodgers' Bullpen Could Have Major Reinforcements for Opening Series in Korea
USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Dodgers bullpen could see a welcomed boost for their opening two games against the San Diego Padres in Seoul, Korea.

The Dodgers could see three pitchers back from injury by this time, including Blake Treinen, J.P. Feyereisen and Daniel Hudson . Manager Dave Roberts said that all three are on track to make the Dodgers' active roster by the Korea games via The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya.

Treinen, who signed with the Dodgers back in December of 2019, is coming off of a shoulder surgery that he underwent in November of 2022. Treinen missed the 2023 season and briefly appeared in five games for the Dodgers in 2022.

In his last season healthy, Treinen appeared in 72 games. He posted a 6-5 record with an impressive 1.99 ERA while giving up 16 earned runs.

Feyereisen was traded to the Dodgers in December of 2022 from the Tampa Bay Rays but missed the entire 2023 campaign while undergoing to shoulder surgery to repair his labrum and rotator cuff, the same surgery that Treinen underwent.

The 31-year-old Feyereisen has seen limited playing time over his career in part due to injuries but went 4-2 with a 2.45 ERA in 2021.

Lastly, a potential return is looming from Hudson. Hudson has barely been able to play over the last few seasons due to an unfortunate series of injuries. He tore his ACL back in 2022 before straining his MCL in 2023.

Hudson has had previous success over his career, winning a World Series in 2019 and a Silver Slugger nod in 2011.

If these three are ready for the Korea games, it will be a great sign for the Dodgers pitching depth. Though all three players have gone through a lot injury-wise over the last few seasons, they should be getting a shot at a comeback soon.
