Right fielder Adolis Garcia has had a wonderful MLB career thus far with the Texas Rangers. After playing 21 games with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2018, Garcia burst onto the major league scene with the Rangers in 2021. In his career, Garcia has batted .237 with a .734 OPS, 141 home runs and 459 RBIs.
He has been selected to two All-Star teams and won a Gold Glove in 2023. That season, Garcia helped lead the Rangers to a World Series title, as he hit .323 with eight long balls and 22 RBIs in 15 postseason games.
Despite the early success in his career, Garcia struggled in 2025, putting up a career-low .665 OPS with just 19 homers and 75 RBIs.
On Friday, ESPN's Jesse Rogers reported that Garcia was being non-tendered by the Rangers. This means that the 32-year-old slugger is now a free agent and eligible to sign with any team.
There is no shortage of teams around the league that could use help in the outfield. This includes organizations that are rebuilding, fringe playoff contenders and others who are looking to add to their already stacked lineups.
The two-time defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers fall into the third category. The Dodgers are hot off their second consecutive triumphant postseason, but there was at least one weak spot in their lineup in 2025.
News: OF Adolis Garcia is being non-tendered by the Rangers, sources tell ESPN. After hitting .227 with 19 home runs and a .665 OPS, the 32 year-old is set to become a free agent. Had a 1.108 OPS in the '23 postseason.

Michael Conforto was Los Angeles' main left fielder, playing 132 games at the position, and he struggled mightily. The 32-year-old hit under the Mendoza line with a .199 batting average to go along with a .637 OPS, 12 home runs and just 36 RBIs.
With this hole in the Dodgers' lineup, Garcia could be a fantastic fit for the reigning champions. While he's played just 16 games as a left fielder in his career, the adjustment from one corner outfield spot to the other should not be much of an issue.
While there has been no official pursuit of Garcia from the Dodgers yet, another big bat to pair with Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts may be just what Los Angeles needs in its quest for a three-peat.
