Dodgers Highlights: Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman & Teoscar Hernández Home Runs

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates in an 11-7 win on Thursday at PNC Park, avoiding a series sweep in the finale.

The Dodgers opened the game with back-to-back singles from Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani, which was promptly followed up with a three-run home run from Freddie Freeman. The baseball left the bat at 109.7 mph as the veteran lefty muscled his club out to a 3-0 lead.

In five games during the month of June, Freeman is batting .389/.455/.889 with two home runs, one double, one triple and five RBI.

After a double from Teoscar Hernández, Miguel Rojas drove him in with a single to cap off a four-run first inning.

Dodgers right-hander Walker Buehler squandered a four-run lead after spotty defense extended innings and his four-seam fastball was hammered. In the top of the fifth, outfielder Teoscar Hernández slugged his 13th home run of the regular season.

From there, the Dodgers never looked back.

Andy Pages was hit by a pitch and Rojas singled before Kiké Hernández doubled home another run. A throwing error led to the Dodgers scoring their seventh run, and then Betts homered to make it a 10-4 game.
