Dodgers' Hyeseong Kim Reveals Feelings Amid Potential Demotion

After sending Hyeseong Kim to Triple-A to start the season, the Los Angeles Dodgers called him up. Now, there might be a very tough decision on the way.

Kim, who many didn't expect to hit at the level he has, looks like he deserves a spot on a big league roster full time. It isn't that the Dodgers don't want to keep him up, but with how loaded the roster is, there might not be much space for him on the team when everybody is healthy.

However, how will the Dodgers look the 26-year-old in the face in the next few days to weeks and tell him after hitting .452 with three stolen bases that he's going to be sent down?

If the Dodgers were upset about his offensive production during spring training, those questions have been answered. At this point, it'd be unfair to Kim to consider sending him down.

Despite that reality, the South Korean native understands it's a real possibility. However, instead of sulking in it, he's looking to enjoy the moment and have fun playing in Major League Baseball.

“I’m just going to play baseball. When I’m on the field I’m just going to play my baseball, try to get on base,” Kim said through an interpreter, per Dodgers Nation. “It’s hard to speculate, hard to predict what’s going to happen in the future.”

“It’s been fun,” he added. “It’s not an easy opportunity to have, so I’m really having fun right now.”

It has to be tough for Kim, who likely knows he won't have a place to play when everybody is healthy. When Tommy Edman returns, the Dodgers might send him down instantly.

There could be a scenario where they get creative, which might not be the worst idea. Kim has clearly proven that he's capable of hitting at this level, and that was the most significant question about him.
