After a 2018 season during which Dodgers pitchers were pan-fried by injury, that now appears to be taking on a very literal connotation for Los Angeles.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told the media on Friday that newly signed reliever Joe Kelly said he hurt his back because he stood for too long while cooking Cajun food, per Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times.

Kelly, 30, signed with the Dodgers on a three-year, $25 million deal this offseason. He posted a 4.39 ERA with 9.3 strikeouts per nine innings last season for the Boston Red Sox, winning the World Series with them.
While there have been other strange food-related injuries in baseball lately, hopefully that andouille sausage was well worth it for Kelly.
