Ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers' showdown with the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday, the team made a rather surprising announcement about the Shohei Ohtani bobbleheads that they are giving away.
According to initial reports, only the first 40,000 fans inside Dodger Stadium would be able to get the sweet treats for the Ohtani bobblehead night. The figurine—showing Ohtani wearing his No. 17 jersey while holding the MVP award and a bat—is made to commemorate the Japanese star's 2024 campaign when he established the 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases club en route to winning the NL MVP award.
As fans showed up early in order to get their hands on the bobblehead, the Dodgers made the decision to change who's going to receive the item.
Instead of just the limited number of fans, the Dodgers announced that ALL fans in attendance will get an Ohtani bobblehead.
"MVP," the Dodgers wrote. "All fans in attendance tonight will get a Shohei Ohtani bobblehead!"
MVP.

Sure enough, the move surprised plenty of fans, with many taking it to the reply section to express their disbelief.
"All fans?" a commenter asked in shock. Another one wrote, "Wait, all fans???"
"On our way!" a hyped fan shared.
An excited supporter added, "Love this! Moving forward, Please do ALL giveaways games like this. Everything is extremely expensive as it is, but we will keep showing up. The best thing you can do is give everyone in attendance the giveaways when there are any."
A fifth social media user stated, "All Fans is how every team should do giveaways."
"ALL Should be every giveaway," a poster noted.
While some poked fun at those who arrived at Dodger Stadium early and lined up for hours to be among the first 40,000 fans in attendance, the Dodgers' decision was certainly a big hit among many people.
The move should only encourage more fans to attend the game as the Dodgers look to extend their winning run.
