Death, taxes, and the Los Angeles Dodgers dealing with an injury within their pitching staff. Michael Grove was spotted wearing a sling on Sunday before the team's spring training matchup with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Grove, a 28-year-old Swiss army knife for Los Angeles, entered this spring on the shelf after being shut down during the team's playoff run last year.
Grove initially made the team's NLDS roster before a shoulder injury prematurely ended his season.
A starter in 2022 and 2023, Grove primarily pitched out of the bullpen last year to the tune of a 5.12 ERA. More notable, he posted a much more respectable 3.87 FIP and 54 strikeouts in 51 innings.
Regardless of Groves' role as a swingman who can start and pitch bulk innings out of the bullpen, his loss will set back the Dodgers' pitching depth.
Within the rotation, starters Kyle Hunt, River Ryan, and Emmet Sheehan became victims of the infamous Tommy John surgery last year.
Rookie standout Gavin Stone also underwent surgery this offseason, while future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw is working his way back from knee surgery.
Former closer Evan Phillips, hard-throwing righty Brusdar Graterol, and late-inning reliever Michael Kopech are also currently on the mend.
Although the Dodgers sport one of the more elite and high-profile rotations in the National League, Grove's injury marks the latest setback for the World Series champions.
A tough blow, but expect the Dodgers to figure it out.
