Fans of "Decoy" — Shohei Ohtani's recently turned one-year-old dog — may want to mark Aug. 28 on their calendars.

Player bobbleheads are arguably the most common giveaway at major league and minor league baseball games alike. In August alone, the Los Angeles Dodgers will be offering bobbleheads of Hall of Fame starting pitcher Sandy Koufax (Aug. 7 vs. Philadelphia Phillies), former All-Star outfielder and longtime MLB manager Dusty Baker (Aug. 9 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates), former All-Star outfielder and NL MVP runner-up Matt Kemp (Aug. 11 vs. Pirates) and slugging outfielder Teoscar Hernandez (Aug. 20 vs. Seattle Mariners).
One with a two-time MVP's pup though? This may be a first.
Decoy is no ordinary pooch, however.
The speculation over the offseason about the name of Ohtani's dog was nearly as constant as his free agency sweepstakes. Eventually, the two-way superstar signed a 10-year, $700M deal with Los Angeles on Dec. 11.
Three days later, Ohtani revealed his furry friend's name to the world.
