Dodgers-Yankees Trade Pitch Sends New York Much-Needed Arm
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Dodgers are loaded from top to bottom, and that was clear during their opening series in America over the weekend.

The Dodgers looked excellent, and if anything is going to stop this team, it's only going to be due to bad luck and injuries. The Dodgers are clearly the best team in Major League Baseball and should be in a good position moving forward, barring anything drastic happening.

There are a few players on the Dodgers' 40-man roster who could be traded. Among them is Dustin May, who has nasty stuff but hasn't been able to stay healthy throughout his career.

May has had an impressive Spring but has yet to throw in a game for the Dodgers in the first few games of the season. That isn't a reflection on what he is, as the Dodgers want to be smart and make sure that he's healthy and fully ready to go in a big league game.

There's also a scenario where Los Angeles doesn't need him.

The Dodgers pitching staff is the best in Major League Baseball, and despite how talented May has proven to be, it might be better to move him from a personal and team standpoint.

There are many teams that would take a chance on a 27-year-old who has the stuff he does, including the New York Yankees, who desperately need pitching.

Any trade between the Dodgers and other teams around Major League Baseball for any of their big league players would be interesting to consider. The Dodgers' farm system is above average, and the big league team doesn't need anything.

However, having more prospects is never a bad thing, especially if Los Angeles wants to break baseball and make other trades for a superstar talent at the deadline.

If he becomes available, the Yankees need to make a call.
