Drew Rasmussen Dominant in Rays Victory Over the Royals

On Thursday, Drew Rasmussen was dominant through five innings, striking out eight batters, issuing no walks, and allowing just one hit in a stellar outing. The Tampa Bay Rays have been playing very well lately, and Rasmussen's contributions to the rotation helped the Rays beat the Kansas City Royals 3-0.

For a Rays squad that currently sits in second place in the American League East behind the New York Yankees, the team has been playing its best baseball recently. Rasmussen has been dominant in the rotation once again this season. This season, he has posted a 2.45 ERA and a WHIP of 0.96, which clearly shows Rasmussen's effectiveness for the Rays.

Over the past few years, Rasmussen has been one of the top pitchers in Major League Baseball. In his five seasons with the Rays, he has posted a 2.66 ERA and a career WHIP just above one. He has clearly been among the best pitchers in the league and serves as the ace of this talented pitching staff.

As the Rays continue to showcase some of the best baseball in the league, they will surely continue relying on Rasmussen and the rest of the rotation to secure a playoff spot when October rolls around.
