Emmanuel Clase has emerged as one of the game’s most dominant closers.

An All-Star this season, the Cleveland Guardians closer owns a 1.32 ERA in 50 appearances out of the bullpen and has converted 26 of his 28 save opportunities.

Clase has pretty much been a sure thing every time he has come out of the bullpen for the Guardians this season.

His nasty stuff was on display again last night against the Detroit Tigers as he earned the save in the Guardians’ 3-2 win, which put them in sole possession of first place in the American League Central.

DraftKings tweeted a graphic featuring Clase’s numbers since May 20.

Pure Dominance

Clase has allowed just two earned runs and has only walked three batters since then.

Clase has been able to lock down almost every game he’s been in this season.

He has been one of, if not the most dominant closer in all of baseball.

It’s almost a sure thing every time he enters a ballgame.

His stats since May 20 can attest to that.

Clase throws hard and knows how to blow hitters away with his fastball.

His All-Star campaign is a big reason why the Guardians now find themselves at the top of the AL Central for the first time since late June.

He shut the door last night along with five other Guardians relievers to earn save No. 26 on the season.

When you have a closer as dominant as Clase has been, you always feel comfortable taking a lead into the ninth inning, especially given his stats over the past few months.

Clase has been almost automatic all season long.

The Guardians bullpen is starting to come together, thanks in large part to Clase’s sheer dominance.
