At one point he was a baseball star with an eye towards professional glory. But now a former MLB Draft pick will be lucky to see the outside of a prison cell again.
According to TMZ Sports, former baseball pitcher and MLB prospect Brian Grant has been arrested in North Carolina. Grant is accused of murdering 61-year-old locksmith Randy Stewart.
Police were dispatched to Grant's home this past Wednesday after gunfire was reported. Stewart was found dead of a gunshot wound and authorities believe that Grant was the shooter. Grant has since been charged with second-degree murder.
TMZ reported that the jail records indicate that the 40-year-old Grant is being held without bond pending trial.
