The New York Yankees are in the midst an offensive drought, enduring a fifth straight loss and a 29‐inning scoreless streak dating back to Saturday, a 4-3 loss to the Boston Red Sox.
After being swept by the rival Red Sox, New York has failed to score a run over the past three games, including the first two in a four game set against the sub .500 Los Angeles Angels. The offense has struggled to find production as of late, partly due to superstar and two-time American League MVP Aaron Judge slumping as he's struck out 15 times over the last seven games.
Former Red Sox star and 2004 World Series champion Kevin Millar weighed in on the situation during MLB Network’s Intentional Talk.
When asked if the drought amounted to more than a bad stretch, Millar said, “100% it's a bad stretch, the Yankees are great.”
Millar continued, "It's like what Judge has done. He's hitting close to .400... He has been unbelievable. Now his average has dipped down to .370. That's okay. The problem is though when he goes, they go. Some other guys got to step up and get hot.”

Judge, whose historic pace has defined the Yankees' offense this season, has amassed 26 home runs while batting a career high .372 this season, and is the clear frontrunner once again for American League MVP. The Yankees, still sit atop the AL East at 42-30, but now face pressure for improved contributions from their supporting offensive cast.
