As we dig deeper into the MLB season, many have been starting to tune into baseball as other sports start to draw to a close.

The NBA season is down to just eight teams left and will soon be narrowed down to four, the NHL will also be narrowing down to just four teams soon and the NFL is currently in their offseason.

Once the NHL and NBA seasons wrap up in June, the MLB will be the only one of the four major American sports still in action.

Baseball will be the lone major sport in action from June until early August – that's when the NFL season will ramp back up and begin their preseason games.

With these things playing into the factor, it seems as if more people are tuning in to watch some baseball.

Saturday, May 10 was the most watched telecast of the MLB season so far. Bringing in over two million viewers in their two-game slate over the weekend, FOX Sports PR announced.

"Marks the most-watched MLB telecast this season on any network," FOX Sports PR mentioned in their post on X.

The two games that were televised included a game where the Chicago Cubs beat the New York Mets with a final score of 6-5 and a matchup between the Minnesota Twins and the San Francisco Giants that ended in favor of the Twins with a score of 2-1.

This is good news as the MLB season is just getting started and teams are just getting over the 40 games played of the 162 scheduled for the 2025 season.
