The New York Mets are back on track after losing two straight series to the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. Not only did they win two out of three games vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers, but they also beat the Chicago White Sox 2-1 on Monday to kick off another three-game set.

Star shortstop Francisco Lindor hit a walkoff sacrifice fly to right with the score tied 1-1 in the bottom of the ninth, plating outfielder Tyrone Taylor. The 31-year-old is now slashing .272/.347/.455 with 10 homers and 30 RBI this season.

Lindor made Mets history with his latest clutch moment, per Mets Mesmerized's Matthew Brownstein.

"Most walk-off RBIs in New York Mets history:

Wilmer Flores: 10

David Wright: 9

Kevin McReynolds: 8

Pete Alonso: 8

Rusty Staub: 7

Ed Kranepool: 7

Cleon Jones: 6

Carlos Beltrán: 6

George Foster: 6

Francisco Lindor: 6," he reported.

The four-time All-Star is now tied with Beltrán, Foster, and Jones for fifth on the list.

New York acquired Lindor and Carlos Carrasco from the Cleveland Guardians [formerly Indians] for Amed Rosario, Andrés Giménez, Josh Wolf and Isaiah Greene on Jan. 7, 2021. The club then signed Lindor to a 10-year, $341 million extension on March 31 of that year.

The 5-foot-10-inch, 190-pounder had his best season as a Met in 2024, slashing .273/.344/.500 with 33 homers and 91 RBI. He also slashed .275/.387/.490 with two homers and eight RBI in 13 playoff games.

New York is now 1.5 games behind the Philadelphia Phillies for first place in the NL East.
